Up For Grabs

Would anyone like to have this one-of-a-kind handcrafted (by me) stained glass window? The subject no longer lies within my interests or decor schemes, so I don’t want it any longer. If’n you want it, drop me a line either in the comments or at jer@nyquil.org and we’ll figure out how to get it to you. Bonus points if you’re in the greater PDX area.

I know what you mean.. I made it 5 or 6 years ago because I wanted to make something in stained glass, but the only thing I could draw from memory was homer simpson. Trying to:

a) come up with a subject
b) find pictures of it on the internet
and c) simplify said pictures down to a suitable glassifyable design

was farrrr too much effort and I settled on just doing homer since I already could draw him in simplistic form. I figured I’d be able to sell it at some point in the future, but have since decided that I don’t particularly like selling things. I took that picture months ago, and was only able to finally let go of the stupid thing yesterday.

I guess there’s just something about letting go of what you put so much blood, sweat, blood, bandaids, blood and tears into…

I forgot money; if I remember correctly there was about $80 worth of glass, solder, came, putty, glass cutter, graziers, etc in there in addition to the blood, sweat, blood, and tears.
