Happy Li'l Tree

I just plugged my Nintendo DS into my PC to add some new software and found this little painting I made during a bout of insomnia a month or so ago.

Despite the lousy quality, there’s something really quite nice about painting on a handheld portable system… the stylus-based input just begs to be painted with.

If you’ve seen as much of Bob Ross as I have, you’ll recognize that painting there…

One thing I enjoy more than I have any right to, is watching Bob Ross at 1.5X (the PVR I use can speed things up without people sounding like chipmunks) and watching him paint super fast.

It just kills me every time he cleans his brush and "shakes the devil out of it.

Ordinarily he’s so placid and methodical, but when I speed him up, it’s like he’s on crack or something.

Have you ever see him talk about Peepod The Pocket Squirrel?

There’s this video he’d show from time to time of "Peepod at play in his natural environment." The camera would be tight on the little guy climbing through some foliage, then the camera would zoom out and you’d see that Peepod was, in fact, in Bob’s mass of hair. Classic.
