I hate Digg... or DO I?

Confession: Despite all my anti-Digg feelings and advices, I’ve found lately that I’m using Digg’s iPhone interface to find interesting things to read on the go with a lot more regularity than I do with Google Reader’s iPhone interface.

I’m up to Sept 11th in my Google Reader, and find that I’m scrolling and scrolling and not really seeing all that much that interests me. Compare that to Digg, where I find at least one of the entries on each page read-worthy. I’m not sure what that says.

Is it still OK to hate Digg whilst enjoying the fruits of it?

Digg does put out some decent headlines from time to time. It’s the comments that I can’t be bothered with.

I’ve been on reddit almost soley for a month or so now. It has a much faster, totally vanilla interface, and I find the crowd to be a lot more prone to cleverness, and less to flameyness. I’m not sure if they have an iPhone interface, as I’m less trendy than you.
