I understand. I understand more than you know, man. You can’t get it ANYWHERE in the college town where I live…there is a SINGLE location in my hometown where my mom can find it, and she stockpiles it and sends it with me whenever I come home. I’m not some spoiled college kid either…I pay my own way…but when it comes to my mustard, OH BABY, I gotta have Heinz.

And I know the difference too, I swear! I once did a blind taste-test of Heinz, Frenches, and Western Family…because I could tell by the colour if I had my eyes uncovered…and I was able to identify each. There’s something about Heinz.

I swear this is one hundred percent true. I’m just a bit over-enthusiastic because I had no idea anyone else in the world felt the same way.

It works fine for me. (Well the half to three-fourths of it I watched, as I’m not a StarWars person and really had no idea what you were talking about. [And have never seen them.])

Makes me think that Apple is the Obama of computers in that it promises change. However, you find out after getting it in the office that the change is really just the same old crap the other candidates are doing but in a different way.

It’s situations like this that affirm my crazy decision to eschew commercial software in lieu of open source stuff.

I think the amount of bullshit I’ve dealt with may actually be higher as a result of the switch, but I sure feel a lot better about it. I’m at no one’s whim.

Nobody tells ME when to update, and I only pay for it with frustration, tears, and occasionally blood.

I’m kind of like the Amish, I guess.

The activated the phone at the Apple Store, plugging it into two razor blades. He claimed it was a macbook, but it was two razor blades. No chrome, no white; just razor-blade-colored razorblades, the top-most with a glowing apple in the middle of it.

If ever I decide to commit suicide, I’m doing it at the Apple Store with one of those down my wrists.

Well, your situation does indeed make sense, but it’s not a proper analogy…

Buying a new OS comes with the expectations of hardware assessment, but buying a phone that also happens to be a USB device does not make one think of buying a new OS. That’s what we’re talking about here.

Thanks for the bug report. Why must the internet make things so difficult?

‘course, I am being sneaky too. a service called qik.com does that actual live streaming, and preserves it as a .flv file, which I am telling my flash player to play. Nuts. But that’s no biggy, it’s just that the blasted embedding doesn’t survive the RSS trip, and I have no idea why.

I hate the internet.

I’m hoping George releases the Gungan equivalent of The Ewok Movie: Battle for Endor at some point. Or maybe just re-release Battle for Endor with Gungans helping out.

1. The post shows up in LJ, but the video does not. This is likely an LJ problem that you can’t do anything about. I would just add a little “click the link to see the video” text and be done with it.
