Tonight I stumbled across a limitation of netflix that I didn't previously know about. Your queue can apparantly only be 500 items long.
Now I know not everyone loves movies as much as us, but 500 movies doesn't seem like that difficult a thing to achieve. We have the '5 out at once' plan, but for a while had the '8 out at once' plan. Maybe netflix should have gradual queue increments that reflect which plan you have? Maybe they do already? Does anyone with the '3 at once' plan have up to 500?
I suppose to overcome this, I will have to set up multiple queues -- which is something I've been meaning to do for some time -- it's just a real hassle to have to copy over everything. Looks like I'll need to give Netflix Freak a try.
On a semi-related note, I've heard people wishing they could back up their queues. I realized tonight that they offer a full rss feed of your entire queue which you can just save. From that point it wouldn't be too tough to write up a script to import it into some other online queue system. Combine that with this, and you've got yourself a successful internet website.
