There have been reports that many film-goers have been confused by the movie’s structure – mistakenly assuming that there was only one film on offer and leaving the cinema en-masse after the Rodriguez section.

Yesterday Harvey Weinstein, who executive produced the film, confirmed the change of tactics. “I don’t think people understood what we were doing,” he said. “The audience didn’t get the idea that it was two movies for the price of one. I don’t understand the math, but I do want to accommodate the audience.”

Confused, or just not interested in being put to sleep by Quentin Tarantino?

While overall I enjoyed Tarantino’s half of the movie, there’s no question regarding whether or not it is a snoozefest. (It is.) Literally every review I saw about the movie mentioned how boring QT’s half is.

I submit that people weren’t as “confused” as they were “informed.”
